(ver todo)La democracia en el Perú es una paradoja viviente. Les entregamos nuestro voto de confianza a personas en las cuales —muy en el fondo— desconfiamos. Alimentamos a un grupo de personas conocidas como «políticos» los cuales son popularmente conocidos por no siempre cumplir con lo que ofrecen o prometen. Nuestro sistema ha colocado en el poder a sujetos que siempre buscaron velar por sus propios intereses. He aquí un error garrafal por ambas partes: los partidos y los votantes. Los partidos políticos son fábricas de candidatos deleznables que son excelentes para ganar elecciones mas no para legislar o gobernar según sea el caso. Los votantes no solemos discernir entre los buenos, malos y nefastos elementos. Por ello, les traemos unos consejos para tomar en consideración para las elecciones generales de 2021.
En primer lugar es necesario estar informado sobre el número exacto de candidatos que se van a presentar en las elecciones y saber a qué partido van a representar.
El 29 de noviembre y el 6 de diciembre, los 24 partidos políticos que participarán en los comicios de 2021 realizarán elecciones internas para definir a sus candidatos a la presidencia, vicepresidencias, Congreso y Parlamento Andino.
Este proceso será supervisado por la Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE) que oficializó y publicó en su sitio web las listas de candidatos presentadas por las organizaciones políticas.
Siete partidos elegirán en forma directa a sus candidatos con el voto de sus militantes este 29 de noviembre. Ese mismo día, los demás partidos escogerán a sus delegados, quienes, a su vez, designarán el 6 de diciembre a su plancha presidencial, candidatos al Congreso y al Parlamento Andino.
De los 24 partidos políticos que participarán en las elecciones internas, el Partido Morado (3), Acción Popular (4) y el Apra (3) tendrán más de un bosquejo presidencial para abril de 2021. Por otro lado, el Frepap solo tendrá listas al Congreso y al Parlamento Andino.
En total son 90 los candidatos que participan en las internas para la plancha presidencial, que consta de un candidato a la presidencia, uno a la primera vicepresidencia y uno a la segunda vicepresidencia.
La información se puede verificar en este enlace. En segundo lugar, una herramienta importante para conocer a los candidatos —una vez que estos se hayan oficializado— es el portal web brindando por
el Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) Voto Informado. Por el momento
la página presenta información básica sobre los actuales congresistas debido a que aún no se actualiza la base de datos para las elecciones del 2021. Por ejemplo, detalla acerca de su experiencia laboral, formación académica, cargos partidarios, relación de sentencias e información de bienes y rentas. Además indica cuántos votos obtuvo cada parlamentario.
En este enlace se puede acceder al cronograma electoral que resume el proceso de elecciones internas de las organizaciones políticas. A continuación también se adjuntarán las imágenes en esta nota.
Por último, pero no menos importante, en el portal web del Congreso uno puede escudriñar a los legisladores del período actual o de los anteriores (desde 1992 hasta 2021).
La utilidad de esta información radica en que si un excongresista —que esté apto de postular— desea ocupar el cargo nuevamente para el período 2021-2026 uno puede ver todo lo que hizo en gestiones pasadas. En otras palabras, se puede verificar cuántos proyectos de ley presentó y sobre qué trataron, cuántos de estos fueron aprobados y en qué comisiones se desempeñó durante ciclos específicos. En adición se puede corroborar cuántos votos obtuvieron para llegar a los escaños y cuál fue su condición durante el lapso en el que trabajó; es decir, si fue destituido, suspendido, inhabilitado, etc.

Nunca está de más buscar al candidato por el cual uno piensa votar en sus cuentas oficiales de redes sociales (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Esto sirve para ver cómo se expresa, qué mensajes comunica y cómo lo hace, qué opina sobre algún tema determinado, entre otras cosas. También buscar columnas de opinión o artículos en prensa escrita, declaraciones en medios de comunicación o entrevistas. Esta es la única manera de poner diversos filtros para que podamos llegar a realizar un voto verdaderamente informado y consciente.
