Los resultados oficiales de la Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE) al 100% de actas contabilizadas arrojan un panorama estadísticamente inequívoco de una segunda vuelta entre Keiko Fujimori y Pedro Castillo. Un escenario poco común en el que la suma de votos de ambos candidatos apenas supera al de ausentes. La hija del expresidente condenado —por delitos de lesa humanidad— Alberto Fujimori.
La campaña en general se vio limitada por las medidas impuestas por el Gobierno para evitar la propagación del COVID-19 en el Perú. La candidata Fujimori tuvo que restringir aún más sus viajes debido a la investigación fiscal que se le sigue en curso por lavado de activos, organización criminal y obstrucción a la justicia. El Ministerio Público ha documentado profusamente la supuesta recepción ilegal de fondos para su campaña electoral en 2011 y en 2016 por parte de la constructora brasileña Odebrecht (1.2 millones de dólares) y del principal grupo financiero peruano (3 millones de dólares). El fiscal José Domingo Pérez pidió 30 años y diez meses de prisión para la lideresa del fujimorismo.
Parte del ideario de Fuerza Popular —contrario a Pedro Castillo y su partido Perú Libre— es de la preservación de la Constitución de 1993, la cual fue elaborada durante el gobierno de su padre Alberto Fujimori. Destaca la prosperidad económica que esta le brindó al país durante los últimos 30 años y emplea porcentajes para expresarlo más concretamente. Textualmente menciona: «La economía abierta y basada en la competencia permitió e impulsó la atracción de más inversiones, generar empleo y crecimiento, lo que tuvo un impacto directo en la reducción de la pobreza monetaria que se redujo de más de la mitad de los peruanos a fines de los años ochenta, al 20.2% en el 2019».
Fujimori Higuchi menciona que el eje económico de su plan de gobierno —bautizado como «Rescate 2021″— es:
«(…) Recuperar el bienestar de todos los peruanos con el desarrollo de una verdadera economía social de mercado, generando oportunidades de trabajo formal, simplificando procesos para el desarrollo de emprendimientos, promoviendo las asociaciones público-privadas y generando confianza para impulsar la inversión sostenible y socialmente responsable en nuestro país».
Respecto a la situación sanitaria del Perú por la pandemia del coronavirus, el plan de gobierno fujimorista señala que el Estado es ineficiente para controlar este tipo de crisis. Deja en claro que se respetará el capítulo económico de la Constitución vigente. Además, aboga por un «gobierno virtual».
Fujimori plantea recuperar los niveles de empleos que existían antes de la pandemia. Y con un aumento de los ingresos medios en el país.
Un objetivo crucial es el de reducir la pobreza extrema, aumento de las tasas de empleo y trabajo formal digno promoviendo un crecimiento del PBI y lograr la consolidación fiscal eliminando el gasto superfluo, la reasignación del personal y eficiencia en el gasto público, especialmente en los gobiernos locales y en el proceso de descentralización.
