Todo Estado posee en su interior una diversidad de identidades: culturales, sexuales, religiosas, raciales, de género, nacionales, etc. Tienen en común reclamar un lugar en la sociedad con el fin que se las reconozca y posicione como iguales frente a un grupo social mayoritario.
En todo proceso democrático cada ciudadano debe tener el derecho de expresar sus preferencias frente a una decisión, es decir todas las opiniones deben ser tomadas en cuenta a pesar de pertenecer a una minoría nacional.
Y en su lugar, el Estado debe garantizar mecanismos idóneos que le permita comprender las propuestas para tomar las decisiones más adecuadas de acuerdo a sus intereses e ideales que les permitan vivir en una sociedad que considere y acepte estas decisiones.
Pero en estas elecciones presidenciales del Perú 2021, los candidatos no están realmente considerando a las minorías dentro de sus posibles formas de gobierno.
En reiteradas ocasiones, el candidato Rafael López Aliaga, el candidato ultraconservador, ha realizado comentarios desatinados referentes a las minorías, su falta de apoyo y consideración a estas. Entre los grupos a los que mayor se refiere son a las comunidades LGTB, las mujeres y la capacidad de decisión para su futuro.
Daniel Salaverry, candidato presidencial de Somos Perú, fue protagonista hace unos días de incidente con un ciudadano venezolano. Ante esta situación negó ser xenófobo y dentro de su plan de gobierno sí aplicaría el reordenamiento del proceso migratorio en nuestro país, considerando que en el Perú ya se contabilizan hasta 1,2 millones de migrantes y refugiados venezolanos.
Durante las intervenciones en medios de comunicación, el economista Hernando de Soto, candidato a la presidencia del Perú con el partido Avanza País, cae en contradicciones constantes sobre la importancia de iniciar con una reforma que logre el reconocimiento de un matrimonio igualitario, a pesar de asegurar el respeto de elecciones de estas minorías en nuestro país.
Es importante prestar atención a la elección de los representantes políticos que regirán la democracia del Perú durante los siguientes 5 años. Debemos asegurarnos que el poder político respete la responsabilidad del individuo de tal manera que encuentre el valor de su propia vida y en este sentido, la decisión de la mayoría no puede imponer su voluntad a las minorías sino que existe un convivencia armónica y considerada para ambas.
